Men’s Soccer Returns Home for Two Games

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team is back at Clinton Field for back-to-back games this week after playing its last two on the road. The Black Knights host Stony Brook in a nonconference match on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. before welcoming Patriot League-leading Loyola on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.

Army and Stony Brook will meet for the first time on Tuesday after both losing matches over the weekend.
The Black Knights and Loyola will play for the fourth time in a series that Army leads 3-0-0. The Cadets collected a 1-0 victory over the Greyhounds last season in Baltimore, Md., with Alex Jaroscak netting the game winner in the 41st minute.
ARMY (6-5-1, 3-2-0 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
• Army fell to a 2-0 defeat at American in its only game last week to drop to fourth place in the Patriot League standings.
• Freshman goalkeeper Justin Stoll made five saves, while slipping to 4-3-0 on the year.
• Freshman Rex Epps ranks tied for second in the Patriot League with seven goals. His seven goals on the season are the most by an Army player under seventh-year head coach Russell Payne.
• Stoll leads the Patriot League in both goals against average (.856) and save percentage (.813).
STONY BROOK (7-4-2, 2-2-0 AMERICA EAST)
• Stony Brook dropped a 1-0 decision against No. 18 UMass Lowell in its most-recent contest on Nov. 16.
• Thibault Duval leads the Seawolves with six goals on the year, while Vince Erdei has scored five times.
• Tom McMahon holds a 1.05 goals against average and a .759 save percentage while appearing in 12 of Stony Brook's 13 matches.
• The Seawolves are 1-1-0 versus ranked opponents this year, as they fell to No. 18 UMass on Nov. 16 and defeated No. 25 New Hampshire, 2-0, on Oct. 8.
LOYOLA (6-5-2, 4-0-1 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
• Loyola extended its unbeaten streak to seven games with a 2-1 win over Lehigh on Oct. 15.
• The Greyhounds lead the Patriot League with 13 points (4-0-1) and are the conference's only team without a loss.
• Loyola is 5-0-2 in its last seven contests, and last lost on Sept. 17 during a 5-1 setback at Connecticut.
• Freshman Brian Saramago is the Patriot League goals leader with eight tallies this year.
