WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team takes its two-game winning streak to the nation's capital on Saturday for a Patriot League match against American scheduled for 3 p.m.

Army and American enter the weekend as two of the teams in a three-way tie for second place in the Patriot League standings, as both have nine points in conference play, with 3-1 records. Loyola leads the league with 10 points and a 3-0-1 record.
American owns an 11-3-4 record in an all-time series versus Army that dates back to the 1994 season. The sides have played past 90 minutes during each of their last four regular-season meetings, with the 2014 and 2015 contests ending in draws.
The Black Knights and the Eagles have played in the Patriot League quarterfinals during each of the last two seasons, with Army advancing on penalty kicks in 2014 and American earning a 4-1 victory last year.
ARMY (6-4-1, 3-1-0 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
• Army defeated Holy Cross, 1-0, and Lehigh, 4-1, last week to improve to 3-1 in the Patriot League this season.
• Freshman Rex Epps netted one goal in each game and senior Christian Clark tallied the game winner against Lehigh to draw Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors.
• Epps is tied atop the Patriot League with seven goals this season, while senior Nick Williams has four goals and ranks tied for ninth.
• Freshman keeper Justin Stoll leads the Patriot League with a .666 goals against average and an .840 save percentage and has posted three shutouts in seven appearances.

• American finished 1-1 last week, with a 1-0 setback against Loyola and a 3-0 shutout win at Lafayette.
