WEST POINT, N.Y. – Patriot League play continues for the Army West Point men's basketball team as it entertains Lafayette on Wednesday night at Christl Arena. Opening tip is 7 p.m. ET and the contest will be broadcast online on the Patriot League Network.

STORYLINES
The Black Knights are coming off an eight-point home loss to Bucknell. Lafayette enters Wednesday's contest after falling to Loyola by a final of 81-78 this past Saturday. The defending Patriot League champions have struggled this season, with a 3-10 overall mark and 0-2 Patriot League record.
Army has made at least 10 three-pointers in 11 of 14 games and is averaging 10.8 three-point field goals per contest this season, which is fifth in the country. Kyle Wilson is leading the nation in threes per game with 4.07. As a team, Army is shooting 38.6 percent from three-point range (151-of-391), which ranks 38th in the country. 38.7 percent of Army's points have come via the three-point field goal, a number that ranks 38th in the nation (KenPom.com).
The Black Knights have the ninth-ranked offensive tempo in the country according to Ken Pomeroy. Army's offense has an adjusted tempo of 76.1, which is an estimate of the possessions per 40 minutes a team would have against the average D-I tempo. Army's average offensive possession length is 14.4 seconds, which is ninth in the nation.
Army has the top scoring offense in the Patriot League and is 14th in the nation with 85.6 points per game. In addition, the Black Knights lead the conference in scoring margin (+7.8). Army is unbeaten (5-0) when four or more players score in double figures.
Senior center Kevin Ferguson is leading the Patriot League in rebounding with 8.9 rebounds per game. Ferguson is 17th in the country in offensive rebounds with a Patriot League-leading 3.93 per contest. Over the last four games, Ferguson is averaging a double-double with 13 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. The Berkeley Heights, N.J., native grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds against Bucknell and leads the conference with four double-doubles this season.
Senior Tanner Plomb has scored in double figures in every game this season and 24 straight games overall. He has 12 performances of at least 20 points during the streak, including a career-high 31-point effort in the win over Gardner-Webb. Plomb is averaging 25.0 points per game over the last four contests.
Plomb became the 30th player in Academy history to score 1,000 career points with his 18-point effort at Air Force. He now has 1,111 career points and is 25th in school history in scoring. Plomb and classmate Kyle Wilson (1,716 career points) are the third teammates from the same graduating class to reach the 1,000-point mark, joining 1981 graduates Bob Brown (1,282) and Marty Coyne (1,126) and 1990 graduates Todd Mattson (1,122) and Steve Rothert (1,054).
