WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's basketball team plays the first of three straight road games on Wednesday night when it takes on Maine. The game begins at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast online on AmericaEast.TV.

STORYLINES
The Black Knights won both of their games over the weekend, defeating Arkansas - Pine Bluff (81-60) and Gardner-Webb (103-98) to claim the Barclays Center Classic title. Tanner Plomb recorded his first-career 30-point game with a 31-point outburst, including seven three-pointers in the win against the Runnin' Bulldogs in overtime of the championship game. Kevin Ferguson posted his sixth-career double-double against Gardner-Webb and became the 13th player in Academy history to reach 500 career rebounds.
Army has made at least 10 three-pointers in five straight games and is averaging 10.7 three-point field goals per contest this season, which is 12th in the country. Kyle Wilson leads the nation in threes per game with 4.29. As a team, Army is shooting 41.4 percent from three-point range (63-of-152), which ranks 31st in the nation.
Seniors Tanner Plomb and Kyle Wilson have each scored in double figures in the first seven games of the season. Wilson set a new career standard with 36 points on eight three pointers in the win over FDU and Plomb is the reigning Patriot League Player of the Week.
In three of its five wins, Army has held three opponents to 60 points or less. The Black Knights held Ferrum, Binghamton and Arkansas-Pine Bluff below that mark and won each game by at least 15 points.
Wilson scored 15 points in the win over Arkansas - Pine Bluff to become the fifth player in Academy history to reach 1,600 career points. He has 1,620 career points.
Together, Wilson and Plomb were the top scoring duo in the Patriot League in 2014-15 with an average of 33.3 points per game. Wilson was first in scoring in the conference at 17.5 points per game, while Plomb ranked fourth overall with a 15.8 points per game average. Plomb (21.4) and Wilson (19.9) are the top two scorers in the Patriot League in 2015-16.
Kevin Ferguson's 63.4 percent career field-goal percentage (319-of-503) is second among active NCAA Division I players. Belmont's Evan Bradds leads the list with a 68.5 career-field goal percentage. Ferguson has played in 99 career games entering Wednesday's contest at Maine.
Army returned 91.6 percent of its scoring and 92.9 percent of its rebounding from last season, including seven seniors, which is tied for the most in program history. It returned 140 of a possible 150 starts from the 2014-15 season with Dylan Cox, Kyle Wilson, Larry Toomey, Tanner Plomb and Kevin Ferguson returning for their senior season.
