Men’s Soccer Finishes Regular Season at Bucknell

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team concludes its regular season with a Patriot League match at Bucknell on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Army (5-6-5 overall, 3-2-3 Patriot League) enters the weekend in a tie with Navy for fifth place in the Patriot League standings. Both the Black Knights and the Midshipmen have 12 points in conference competition, but Army currently holds the No. 5 seed in the Patriot League Tournament after defeating Navy, 2-1, earlier this week. Bucknell (6-6-5, 2-3-3) sits three points behind Army and Navy and is seventh in the league, one spot out of the Patriot League Tournament.
The Black Knights can clinch a berth in the Patriot League Tournament with a win or a tie at Bucknell. Army would make the tournament with a loss only if Navy loses its season finale against Boston University.
Army owns a 20-14-0 advantage in an all-time series with Bucknell that dates back to the 1931 season. The Black Knights won three straight versus the Bison from 2011-2013 before Bucknell claimed a 2-1 victory in overtime at West Point last season. Bucknell won the Patriot League Championship and represented the conference in the NCAA Tournament in 2014.

• Army netted a pair of first-half goals to earn a 2-1 Star victory over Navy on Nov. 3 at PPL Park.
• Senior Cody Guerry scored both of the Black Knights' goals, finding the back of the net in the 19th and 28th minutes.
• Guerry, who leads Army with six goals, three assists and 15 points this year, extended his point streak to four matches and now has three goals and two assists in his last four outings.
• Junior Nick Williams and freshman Brett Becia provided assists in the win, while senior Chris Britt made five saves in goal.
BUCKNELL (6-6-5, 2-3-3) NOTES
• Bucknell was last in action on Oct. 31, when the Bison played to a 1-1 draw at Lehigh.
• Sebastiaan Blickman scored in the second half to erase a 1-0 deficit in the match, while keeper Clarke Fox finished with eight saves.
• Chris Thorsheim leads the Bison with eight goals on the season, while Blickman is second with five.
• Bucknell needs all three points from Saturday's match to earn a spot in the Patriot League Tournament.

The Patriot League Tournament begins next week, with quarterfinal matches scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10. The semifinal and championship games will be played at the home field of the highest-remaining seed and are set to be held on Nov. 13 and Nov. 15, respectively.
