Men’s Soccer Back Home to Face Colgate

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team returns to Clinton Field for its final two home matches of the season, beginning with a contest against Colgate on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Black Knights enter the week tied for the sixth and final Patriot League Tournament spot with eight points. Army stands one point behind both Lehigh and Navy and two behind third-place American. Army and Navy come into the week with four league games remaining, while the other eight Patriot League teams have three. Colgate currently occupies the league's second position with 12 points on the season.
Army holds a 34-24-5 all-time lead against Colgate in a series that dates back to Army's first varsity season in 1921. The Black Knights have won two straight matches against the Raiders after Colgate's eight-game winning streak in the series from 2005-2012. Army came away with a 2-1 win at Colgate last season, with junior Nick Williams and sophomore Spencer Goldstein scoring goals for the Black Knights.

• Army picked up its first road victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Loyola on Oct. 24.
• Junior Alex Jaroscak netted his first goal of the season on a header in the 41st minute. Senior Cody Guerry was credited with an assist after crossing the ball in to Jaroscak.
• Senior Chris Britt made a pair of saves against the Greyhounds to register his third shutout of the season, and his second in the last three outings.
• Guerry leads Army with three goals on the season, while Williams, junior Christian Ollen and sophomore Shaban Abousaud all have two.
COLGATE (7-6-2, 4-2-0 PL) NOTES
• Colgate comes into Wednesday's match after defeating Navy, 1-0, on Oct. 24 in Annapolis, Md.
• Ethan Kutler provided the game's only goal in the 68th minute on an assist from Jared Stroud, while goalkeeper Ricky Brown made four saves for the shutout.
• Kutler paces eight Colgate goal scorers with seven markers on the year, while Aram Ouligian is next up with three.
• The Raiders enter the week second in the Patriot League with 12 points, one behind league-leading Boston University.
