WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army women’s swim and dive team lost a close dual-meet to Bucknell Saturday afternoon, 180-120, at Kinney Natatorium in Lewisburg, Pa. The Black Knights had four first place finishes at the meet.
“Today was a much better day overall for both teams,” said head coach Mickey Wender. Attitude and effort were much improved and execution was on a much higher level in today’s meet. It was a good chance to swim in a fast pool and to have a rehearsal for the conference championship which will be at Bucknell. I am really pleased with our senior leadership with how they rallied the team today to get the best out of our athletes.”
Bridget Ritter tallied two first-place finishes for the Black Knights. Ritter had the top time in the 200 free with a 1:53.36 and in the 500 free with a 5:01.75. Molly Mucciarone claimed first in the 50 free after touching he wall in 24.40.
The 400 free relay team also had a first-place finish in the meet. The team comprised of Keeli McNeary, Kelly Hamilton, Danielle Nuszkowski and Megan Grier claimed the top spot in 3:35.13.
