Heckel Jr. was named the Patriot League Men's Golfer of the Year at the Patriot League Championships. He finished seventh on the individual leaderboard at 1-over for the tournment and was the 36-hole leader heading into the final round. Heckel Jr. also became the first Army golfer to be selected the Patriot League Rookie and Player of the Year during their career since Peter Kim '17.
