Army finished tied for second in the Patriot League standings during the 2025-26 seaso, going 14-4 against Patriot League opponents. The Black Knights season culminated in a trip to the WNIT Great 8 against Marshall, marking the deepest postseason run in program history.
The WNIT kicked off with Army hosting its first Division I postseason game, as it knocked off NJIT in the Round of 32. A few days later, the Black Knights took down La Salle in the Super 16 inside Christl Arena.
Army opened the Kuester era going 9-2 during its non-conference slate, which included impressive wins over St. Thomas, UMass and Howard. After dropping its conference opener, Army won six straight conference games to establish itself at the top of the Patriot League standings.
Gallagher played a crucial role in overseeing the Black Knights' defense, which finished the season No. 1 in the Patriot League and 13th in the nation in points allowed with 55.9.
Four Black Knights recorded All-Patriot League Honors following the regular season. Camryn Tade was named First Team All-Patriot League, Kya Smith earned Second Team All-Patriot League, Reese Ericson garnered named Third Team All-Patriot League and Reganne Reardon was named to the All-Rookie Team. Additionally, Tade and Smith each earned a spot on the All-Defensive team.
Gallagher joined the Black Knights after a successful return to Lehigh University, where she helped guide the Mountain Hawks to a 2024-25 Patriot League Championship, regular-season title, and 27-win campaign. Under her leadership, Lehigh saw three players earn All-League recognition, including First Team and All-Defensive Team standout Maddie Albrecht.
Before returning to Lehigh, Gallagher spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at Marist College, where she helped lead the Red Foxes to multiple MAAC Championships, an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021, a WNIT berth in 2018, and three MAAC title game appearances. During that time, she played a key role in developing standout guards and overseeing scouting and recruiting responsibilities.
In March 2021, Gallagher was honored as a WBCA Thirty Under 30 recipient, recognizing her leadership, mentorship, and service to the women's basketball community. She earned the award following Marist's championship season in which the team set multiple tournament records en route to a dominant title win.
Gallagher has coached and developed numerous all-conference performers, including Trinasia Kennedy (All-MAAC Third Team), Rebekah Hand (three-time All-MAAC First Team), and Grace Vander Weide (Second and Third Team All-MAAC). Her attention to detail and ability to elevate guard play have made her an asset at every stop in her career.
A Marist alumna, Gallagher was a standout student-athlete who helped guide the Red Foxes to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances and a WNIT showing. She was a team captain and three-time MAAC All-Academic honoree. Off the court, she served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, coached AAU, and interned in Marist's Sports Information Department.
She began her coaching career as the Director of Basketball Operations at Lehigh, later earning a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the university in 2020. Gallagher earned her Bachelor's degree in Communications with a concentration in Sports Communication from Marist in 2015.
A native of Stormville, N.Y., Gallagher brings a wealth of experience, a championship mindset, and a passion for mentorship to West Point.
