Hockey Announces Hiring of Pane as New Equipment Manager

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point hockey has announced Evan Pane to join support staff ahead of the 2026–27 season as the program's Hockey Equipment Manager, the department announced Tuesday.
Pane will oversee all day-to-day equipment operations for the Black Knights, including skate services, equipment maintenance and repair, locker room organization, inventory management, and the supervision of four cadet equipment managers. His role ensures that Army Hockey is fully prepared for training, travel, and competition throughout the season.
Pane arrives at West Point following a year with the University of Vermont, where he served as the Women's Hockey Equipment Manager and directed all equipment and apparel operations for the program. He also worked with USA Hockey as the U16 Boys National Camp Equipment Manager, assisting with skate sharpening, laundry, and gear repair during national-level development programming.
Prior to his time at Vermont, Pane spent a season at the University of Nebraska Omaha as the Student Assistant Equipment Manager for Hockey, continuing a family legacy at the institution. Pane is a second-generation equipment manager, following in the footsteps of his father, Mark, who spent more than 30 years in the profession and represented the United States at multiple international hockey tournaments.
A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Pane is the son of Mark and Lisa and has two siblings: an older brother, Kyle, and a younger sister, Emma. He currently resides in Fort Montgomery.
