Damani Myers joined the Army West Point Men’s Basketball coaching staff prior to the 2024-25 season.
Winning in Williamstown
Prior to joining coach Kuwik’s staff, Myers served as an Assistant Coach for the Williams College men's basketball program for their 2023-24 campaign.
The 2023-24 Ephs earned the No. 1 seed and hosted the NESCAC Tournament at Chandler Gymnasium in Williamstown, Massachusetts, as Williams advanced to the conference title game.
The Ephs went 23-7 overall and 9-1 in conference, as the unit won a pair of NCAA Tournament games and advanced all the way to the Sweet 16. The squad also earned a share of the Little Three crown.
Williams College defeated then-No. 4-ranked Trinity, 55-54, in thrilling fashion on Feb. 2 at Chandler, as the team overcame a six-point deficit in the final minute.
Tenure in Binghamton
Prior to Williams, Myers served as Video Coordinator at Binghamton University for two seasons during which he oversaw scouting and film exchange.
While with Binghamton for the 2022-23 season, Myers and the Bearcats enjoyed their highest conference win percentage in 13 years and their highest final America East place (T-4th) in 14 years.
The team posted a tournament road upset in each of Myers’ two seasons with the Bearcats.
Time in Jersey City
Myers’ collegiate coaching career began at Saint Peter's University, where he served as Special Assistant to the Head Coach from 2019-2021.
At Saint Peter’s, Myers oversaw scouting, film exchange, and assisted with player development. During the 2020-21 season, the Peacocks won 18 games before their postseason run was halted by COVID-19.
Myers earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Saint Peter’s University in May of 2020.
While Myers was at Saint Peter’s, the program produced five All-MAAC selections, the NCAA Division I leader in blocked shots, the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, and 10 student-athletes that were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.
Myers’ Origins
Prior to Saint Peter’s, Myers also served as an Assistant Coach for Team Final on Nike's Grassroots circuit.
A native of Long Island, N. Y., Myers played at Lycoming College and Delaware Valley University.
