2014-15: Capped-off her senior season with a career-best performance at the Patriot League Championships … touched the wall in 52.78 in the 100 free for a personal record … also competed in the 50 free where she placed sixth with a time of 23.49 … was 20th in the 100 fly (57.87) … member of the Academy record-setting 200 free relay team that placed second at the conference championships … finished second in the 50 free in dual-meet against rival Navy … placed third in the 50 free against Iona … Engineers Branch.
2013-14: Continued to succeed in the freestyle events ... clocked the team's fourth-best time of the season for the 50-free (23.94) at the Army-Navy meet ... swam another top-time in the 100-free with a 52.36 at the Patriot League (PL) Championships ... also competed in the 100-fly at the PL Championships touching the wall in 56.37 ... member of record-setting 400-free team relay (3:25.54).
2013-13: Capped off her sophomore year with a personal-best in the 50 free and 100 fly at the Patriot League Championships (Feb. 23)...touched the wall at 23.84 in the 50 free and came in at 57.98 in the 100 fly..came in sixth in the 100 free at Navy (Dec. 6)...posted a fifth place finish in the 50 free in the tri-meet versus American and George Mason (Jan. 19).
2011-12: Capped the season by posting four personal-best times at the ECAC Championships (Feb. 24) ... placed fourth in the 50 free, touching the wall in a career-best time of 24.20 ... clocking ranks seventh all-time at Army ... tied for 14th in the 100 free (53.41) after registering a personal-best time (52.96) in the preliminaries ... also recorded PRs in the 100 fly (58.44) and 200 IM (2:12.34) at ECACs ... earned three top-10 showings against Bucknell (Jan. 14) ... placed fifth in the 50 free, sixth in the 100 fly and seventh in the 100 free ... finished fourth in the 100 fly land fifth in the 50 free versus Drexel (Jan. 20) ... took fourth in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 free opposite Lehigh (Jan. 13) ... placed fifth in both the 100 free and 100 fly against Massachusetts (Oct. 22) ... was fourth in the 100 fly versus Connecticut (Nov. 5) ... finished sixth in the 100 fly at C.W. Post (Nov. 18).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Two-time qualifier for Junior Nationals while swimming for Kempsville High School ... swam at the club level for Old Dominion Aquatic Club.
PERSONAL: Haileigh Emma Phillips was born Jan. 24, 1993 at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. ... daughter of Douglas and Helen Phillips ... has one brother, Jake (23) and one sister, Rebeca (19) ... father is a senior chief (enlisted) in the United States Navy reserves ... brother is a sargent in the United States Army ... very team oriented ... favorite spot at West Point is Trophy Point in the evening ... greatest accomplishment was out-touching the Navy relay sophomore year ... likes to watch football ... enjoys reading, writing poetry, hiking camping... the swim/dive team is the best because if the planet flooded they could all survive ... her dad looks like Tom Selleck ... British heritage ... missed junior prom because they found a tumor that caused her appendix to rupture ... major is engineering psychology.
