Jordan Dean
- Title:
- Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach
Jordan Dean joined the program as an assistant coach in the fall of 2025 and primarily works with the draw unit. Dean is in her second season at Army West Point.Â
In 2026, the Black Knights captured their first Patriot League Regular Season Championship, finished with a 15–5 overall record and an 8–1 conference record, and rose as high as No. 13 nationally in both the USA Lacrosse and IWLCA polls. In one of the most significant accomplishments in modern Patriot League history, Army ended Loyola Maryland’s unprecedented 95–0 undefeated regular-season conference streak, a run that had remained unbroken since the Greyhounds joined the league in 2014. This victory, combined with a top-five national win over No. 5/7 Yale, established Army as one of the nation’s most ascendant and competitive programs.
The Black Knights ranked among the nation’s elite in multiple categories, including 15.3 goals per game, which placed them fourth nationally, and a top-15 net efficiency rating that reflected their balanced dominance on both ends of the field. They also posted a top-20 scoring margin and competed against a top-20 strength of schedule, underscoring their ability to excel against high-level opponents.
The program, in 2026, secured its first NCAA Tournament victory with a commanding 20–8 win over Fairfield and advanced to the NCAA Second Round, marking another historic milestone. Army produced a program-record seven All-Patriot League selections, three All-Region honorees, multiple USA Lacrosse All-Americans, and two IWLCA First Team All-Americans. Most notably, Brigid Duffy became the program’s first-ever Tewaaraton Finalist and the first Army West Point Honda Award Finalist since 1989–90, marking one of the most significant national honors earned by any female cadet-athlete in more than three decades.
Dean, a Greenbank, Ont., native, came to the banks of the Hudson after a stellar career at UMass. While at UMass, she set a new NCAA Division I single season record for draw controls and was a three-time US Lacrosse All-American selection. She finished her collegiate career with 645 draw controls, the most in UMass history and was a two-time captain.
Internationally, Dean has represented Team Canada in multiple competitions. Recently, she has competed in the World Lacrosse Sixes Championships in Chengdu, China. The Canadian defenseman has earned two silver medals in international competition and was named to the All-World Team at the 2024 Box World Championships. At the 2019 U19 World Cup, she was the youngest member of the Silver winning team at 16 years old.
Off the field, Dean was a member of the Student Athlete Council Committee (SACC) and was a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Society. She also was awarded the Colin Hood Award, which honors two graduating athletes who have exceptional leadership and are committed to the success of their sport.
