Andrew Zeger enters his first season with Army West Point softball in 2023.
Zeger comes to West Point after spending one season (2022) at Furman University as the head assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.Â
Zeger previously served as head assistant coach and director of recruiting at Texas A&M Corpus Christi during the 2021 season, where he helped the Islanders improve their batting average by over 40 points. As the team's hitting, infield, and catching coach, he had a player earn all-conference accolades in his first season.Â
Prior to his time at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Zeger was as assistant coach at Daytona State College and worked at Pro Swings as a hitting instructor, speed and agility, and strength coach. He mentored countless Olympic and pro athletes at Pro Swings, creating softball specific training programs.Â
Zeger also completed coaching stints with Chesapeake College, Baltimore Dodgers, Hagerstown Community College, and Eagle Valley Eagles. During his time in college baseball, he coached 17 players who went on to play professionally.
A native of Greencastle, Pa., Zeger earned a bachelor's degree in health science from La Roche College in 2014 and added a master's degree in entertainment business/sports management from Full Sail University in 2015.
