Outdoor 2019: Placed ninth in the pole vault at the Penn Challenge...finished fifth in the pole vault at the Army-Navy Star Meet...closed out the season with a seventh place finish in the pole vault at the West Point Twilight.
Indoor 2018-19: Began his Army career with a fifth place finish in the pole vault at the Crowell Open...placed fifth in the pole vault at the Army-Navy Star Meet.
PERSONAL: A West Point native, Spain joins the Black Knights from James I. O'Neill High School (N.Y.)...two-time top-10 finisher in pole vault at NY States...second-place finisher at NYSPHSAA Division II Outdoor in 2018...major is currently undeclared.
