Neil Baroody joined the Army West Point staff in 2018 after two years at Northeastern University as an assistant track & field coach and recruiting coordinator.
Baroody's primary focus is on vertical jumps and combined events.
In 2019, he helped guide Army to the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championship.
In 2017-18, Baroody helped lead junior Paige Suse to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor East Regional Championship, the CAA conference championship in the high jump, and the outdoor school record in the high jump. He also coached senior Nick Fofana to the CAA conference championship in the decathlon and the school record in the men's heptathlon.
In his first season with the Huskies, Baroody led sophomore Paige Suse to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor East Regional Championship and the indoor school record in the high jump. He also coached junior Nick Fofana to the CAA conference championship in the decathlon and freshman Travis Kartz to the CAA conference championship in the pole vault.
Prior to Northeastern, Baroody spent two years at the University of Oklahoma, assisting with vertical jumps and combined event athletes. Along with daily training, he assisted with devising the strength and conditioning programs, assisting in the weight room, video analysis of the vertical jumps, team logistics and recruiting.
Baroody is a native of Londonderry, N.H. and earned his bachelor of science degree in kinesiology-exercise science from the University of New Hampshire in 2013.
