Spring 2017: Kicked off the spring with a one-under-par, 71, against Florida Atlantic… Finished T68th at the Hayt Invitational scoring 235 (+19)… Completed the Augusta Invite T73rd scratching 228 (+12)…. At the Patriot League Championships finished T16th after scoring 215 (+5).
Fall 2016: Kicked off the fall season tying his Navy opponent… At the Fighting Illini Invite finished T64th after shooting 230 (+10)… At the Price’s “Give Em Five” Invite finished T52nd scoring 225 (+9).
Spring 2016: Represented the Cadets in all six spring tournaments i including NCAA Regionals … also a member of the Patriot League Championship squad that won the team title … top finish of the spring was at the league championships where he tied for 21st with a 16-over score … placed tied for 23rd in both the Til Duty is Done Collegiate Invitational (72-78-73—223 (+7)) and the Wofford Invitational (72-71-74—217 (+7)) … averaged 76.53 strokes through 17 rounds.
Fall 2015: Studied abroad in Chile during the fall semester … was able to participate in the Star Match against service academy rival Navy … was paired with Parker Harris during the four-ball round.
Spring 2015: Had a standout spring season … one of three golfers to compete for Army West Point at all six spring tournaments … placed sixth at the Patriot League Championships at three-over … was named to the All-Patriot League Second Team … won his first individual title at the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational where the team also placed first … carded a 69-69-70—205 to go 11-under … finished 25th at the Gary Freeman Invitational … competed at the Bandon Dunes Championship where he totaled 156 strokes … was tied for 14th at the Seahawk Intercollegiate after carding a 74-74-76—224 … finished tied for 21st at the Met Intercollegiate with 160 strokes … totaled 16 rounds in the spring … averaged 74.64 strokes in the 2014-15 season … was named the team’s Most Improved Golfer.
Fall 2014: Teed-off for Army in two fall tournaments and in the Star match against Navy … part of first-place team at Colgate Invitational … finished fourth at five-over par … carded a 217 (+7) at the Doc Gimmler to place tied for 42nd … was paired with Peter Kim for Army-Navy four-ball … defeated Fricke and Keene up one … topped Fricke of Navy one up during Army-Navy singles … participated in six rounds this fall and totaled 438 strokes … season-low round was a 70 (-2) and his average score was 73.00.
Spring 2014: Second Team All-Patriot League ... Patriot League Academic Honor Roll ... competed in 15 rounds in six outings ... totaled 1117 stokes averaging a score of 74.47... posted a 7th place finish at the Patriot League Championships at 70-73-76--219 (+9) ... tied for 10th of 50 in the Met Intercollegiate coming in at 12 over par.
Fall 2013: Played in 15 rounds over five tournaments ... posted a scoring average of 73.67 ... carded five rounds of even par or better, including a season-best 66 (-3) in the second round of the Stars & Stripes Invitational ... helped Army to the team victory, finishing tied for ninth ... shot an even par 70-70-70--210 at The Doc Gimmler hosted by St. John's ... finished in a tie for 14th ... tied for 11th in his collegiate debut at the Colgate Invitational with a 76-72-76--224 (+8) ... partnered with classmate Peter Kim to win their four-ball match at Navy, 3 and 1.
Background: Posted top-five finishes in the 2012 Junior PGA Championship and the Junior America’s Cup … carded an eighth-place showing at the Junior World Championship … was ranked in the top-10 by Golfweek Magazine his senior season … was the Contra Costa Golfer of the Year in 2013 … earned All-East Bay Athletic League accolades in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 … led his high school team to two California State Championships … was named to the Principal’s Honor Roll … 2013 Bruce Wilhelmy Scholarship Winner.
