Daniel DeLuca joined the Army golf program as an assistant coach in the fall of 2019.Â
DeLuca comes to West Point after spending two seasons at Stephen F. Austin as an assistant for the Lumberjacks. He helped lead the 'Jacks to a pair of third place finishes at the Southland Conference Championships. He tutored Angelo Leyvani and Jake Hendrix to All-Conference honors in 2018 and 2019, while guiding Andy Lopez to Southland Rookie of the Year accolades in 2018.Â
"We are excited to welcome Daniel to the Army golf family," Bagley said. "I've gotten to know Daniel over the last few years in coaching and he's a great fit for Army golf, West Point and our mission. Daniel will have an impact with our young men and I know the best is yet to come."
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, DeLuca served as a graduate assistant at Eastern Kentucky before Stephen F. Austin.

DeLuca had a four-year career as a Colonel at EKU prior to joining the coaching staff. An Ohio Valley Conference Academic Medal of Honor recipient for holding a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the 2011-12 and 2015-16 academic years, DeLuca was as the head male counselor at US Golf Camps in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, after serving as an intern. While with US Golf Camps, DeLuca was a counselor, instructor and supervisor to 9-18 year-old kids from around the world.

Achieving a spot on the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll every season while on the EKU golf team, DeLuca worked as a pro shop staff member at Idle Hour Country Club and Man O'War Golf, both in Lexington. Previously, DeLuca was a cart and bag boy at the University Club and at Idle Hour Country Club. A member of the National Honor Society of Collegiate Scholars in 2012, DeLuca represented the state of Kentucky in Pebble Beach, California, in 2010 with the First Tee Program.
