Outdoor 2020: Competed twice at the Beach Opener, placing second in the 800m run and fifth in the 4x400m relay.
Indoor 2019-20: Started off the year with a third place finish in the 500m run at the Crowell Open...placed third in the 800m run at the Nittany Lion Challenge at Penn State...placed second in the 4x400, third in the DMR and fifth in the 800m run at the Keydet Invitational...posted a fourth place finish in the 800m run at the Army-Navy Star Meet...recorded a trio of bronze medal finishes at the Patriot League Championships, finishing third in the 800m run, 4x400m relay and the DMR.
Outdoor 2019: Opened the outdoor campaign with a third place finish in the 800m at the Ben Brown Invitational...posted fourth place finishes in the 800m and 4x400m relay at the UC Irvine Spring Break Classic...finished sixth in the 800m at the Army-Navy Star Meet.
Indoor 2018-19: Began his Army career with third place finishes in the 1000m and 4x400m at the Crowell Open...placed eighth in the 800m and fifth in the 4x400m at the Nittany Lion Challenge...finished second in the DMR at the Penn State National Invitational...won the 4x800m and placed fifth in the 800m at the Army-Navy Star Meet.
PERSONAL: Altenburg comes to West Point from James W. Robinson High School (VA)...he competed as a middle distance runner (800m)...was also a competitive XC skier for three years...major is currently undecided.
