Evan Manning joined the Army men’s basketball staff in August 2022.
Manning comes to West Point from Gonzaga University, where he served as a graduate assistant for the past two seasons. Assisting with scouting, analytical breakdowns and film edits, Manning helped the Bulldogs to back-to-back WCC Conference titles, including a run to the 2021 NCAA National Championship game.
Prior to Gonzaga, Manning spent three seasons with Wake Forest, originally as a Program Assistant before transitioning to Director of Player Development from 2018-20. With the Demon Deacons, Manning was responsible for the program’s recruiting databases along with providing extensive film and analytical breakdowns.
Manning spent four seasons as a successful student-athlete at the University of Kansas, winning the Big 12 regular season title in all four seasons from 2012-16. After helping the Jayhawks to an Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen, Manning also served as an administrative intern for the athletic department during his final year at Kansas.
Manning would earn a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Kansas in 2016, with a minor in business. He would go on to obtain his master’s degree in organizational leadership from the University of Gonzaga in 2021. Across his career, Manning has coached/developed seven NBA players, including a pair of lottery picks.
