Xzavier Latchison serves as the Director of Rehabilitation for Army West Point, working directly with the football program.
Latchison brings a diverse background in sports medicine and elite athlete care to West Point, possessing four years of experience as an athletic trainer alongside his work as a physical therapist. He joins the staff after spending the 2025 season in the NFL as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer for the Baltimore Ravens. Prior to his time in Baltimore, Latchison worked as an athletic trainer at Lubbock Sports Medicine from 2022 to 2024. His professional football experience also includes an athletic training internship with the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2021 season.
A highly credentialed practitioner, Latchison earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he also completed his master's degree. While at Texas Tech, he gained hands-on collegiate athletics experience working as a football athletic training student during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He completed his undergraduate studies at Texas State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree.
During his academic career, Latchison was recognized nationally by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a recipient of the prestigious Markus Paul Memorial Scholarship.
He holds a comprehensive suite of professional credentials, operating as a Licensed Physical Therapist, Licensed Athletic Trainer, and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Additionally, he is a Certified Dry Needling Practitioner. Latchison maintains active professional memberships in both the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
A native of Waco, Texas, Latchison enjoys international travel, continuing his professional development, and networking with fellow sports medicine professionals across collegiate and professional athletics.
