Nick So'oto

Nick So'oto joined the Army West Point football staff in summer of 2021 as the On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator.
So'oto comes to Post after spending the spring at West Texas A&M as the Defensive Line Graduate Assistant where he had the responsibility of recruiting in four different areas. He assisted with individual meetings for defensive tackles and nose guards, preparing game film for the coaching staff as well as weekly defensive game planning.
Prior to his time in Canyon, Texas, So'oto worked as an Assistant Defensive Coordinator at Parkway High School. He worked as a coach for the varsity linebackers, a Defensive Coordinator for the JV squad and a defensive line and linebackers coach for the freshmen team. So'oto prepared and conducted position meetings, while also researching, designing and implementing the defensive scheme and structure for the programs. During games he assisted from the box on game days.
Before coaching, So'oto was the Assistant Coach for power lifting at Parkway. He was responsible for researching, designing and implementing a training programs for the teams.
Prior to coaching, he was a student-athlete at Northeastern State University where he was named the "Freshman to Watch" by a Division II football outlet. He played one season at Palomar Community College before transferring to Harding University. At Palomar, he earned All-Conference honors and was named team captain.
So'oto graduated from LSU in 2020 with a degree in general studies with a focus on applied sciences.
