Jamere (juh-MEER) Hogue enters his first season on the Black Knights' coaching staff as the program's new defensive line coach entering the 2026 season.Â
Hogue arrives at Army after spending last season as the defensive line coach at East Tennessee State University.
Prior to ETSU, Hogue spent two seasons (2023–24) as the defensive line coach at McNeese State. He joined McNeese following three seasons at Gardner-Webb, where he helped develop one of the most disruptive defensive fronts in the Big South Conference.
In 2022, Hogue led a defense that ranked first in the Big South in five categories, including total sacks, where it also ranked 10th in the FCS at 2.92 per game. That helped guide Gardner-Webb to the FCS playoffs, where it defeated Eastern Kentucky in the first round before falling to No. 5 William & Mary in the second.
Hogue's defensive front was also among the nation's best during the spring 2021 season, ranking No. 6 nationally in sacks and No. 8 in tackles for loss.
A native of Morristown, Tennessee, Hogue was a standout defensive lineman at Tennessee Tech. A three-year starter and team captain, he helped lead the Golden Eagles to the Ohio Valley Conference championship in 2011 and was named the team's Most Valuable Defensive Lineman that season. Hogue finished his collegiate career with 82 total tackles after beginning his career at tight end before moving to the defensive side of the ball.
Hogue earned his degree in exercise and social sciences from Tennessee Tech in 2012. A three-sport standout at Morristown West High School, he was a three-time all-conference selection in both football and basketball and also lettered in track and field.
Hogue and his wife, Jacquie, have two children: daughter Jazlynn and son Jakai.
