Eric McDaniel was hired as the assistant defensive line coach at Army in 2021. McDaniel comes to the banks of the Hudson after spending the previous two seasons at the University of Louisville, where he served as a quality control coach for the Cardinals.
McDaniel made the move to Louisville after previously working for Scott Satterfield at Appalachian State. McDaniel served as a defensive quality control coach for two years working specifically with the defensive line.
Prior to his time at Appalachian State, McDaniel worked a pair of seasons as a graduate assistant at Muskingum.
McDaniel played collegiately at Purdue from 2009-13, appearing in 15 games. He graduated from Purdue in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in health and kinesiology, and later earned a master’s in education from Muskingum in 2016.
