CPT Zachary Reichert, a 2014 West Point graduate and former offensive lineman, joined Army West Point’s football staff in June 2019 as the Assistant Director of Football Operations.
In this position, he is responsible for managing each home and away travel itinerary, travel roster, hotel listing, menus, and charter manifests. He will travel as the advance team contact to each site to ensure smooth transition when the team and coaches arrive. In addition, he provides support in the planning and budgeting of all football events throughout the season.
After graduating from Basic Officer Leaders Course at Ft. Sill, OK in 2014, his first assignment was to 3-7 FA, 3rd IBCT, 25th Infantry Division (Schofield Barracks, HI), where he served as a Fire Direction Officer, Fire Support Officer, and Executive Officer until December 2017.
Upon completion of the Field Artillery Captains Career Course in 2018, CPT Reichert served within the Field Artillery Proponent Office at Ft. Sill, OK as an Engagement Officer for the Field Artillery branch. Duties included showcasing and educating all Cadets about the opportunities the Field Artillery branch could provide them before they made their final branch selections.
CPT Reichert, a two-year letterwinner and starter at guard during the 2013 season, helped the offense finish third in the national rushing ranking, averaging just over 313 rushing yards per game.
Upon graduating from the academy, CPT Reichert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He and his wife, Laura, reside at West Point.
