Scott Ostrander arrived at West Point in September 2017 and currently serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Ostrander works with Army’s baseball and men’s soccer teams.
Prior to working with the baseball and men’s soccer programs, Ostrander spent one year working with the sprint football and men’s lacrosse teams during the 2017-18 athletic year.
Before arriving on the banks of the Hudson, he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Mississippi State from January 2016 – May 2017. During his time in Starkville, Miss., Ostrander worked primarily with the Bulldogs’ men’s tennis squad that qualified for back-to-back NCAA Tournaments as a team. The Bulldogs also had several individuals qualify for the NCAA Tournament in those two seasons as well.
Prior to his time at Mississippi State, Ostrander was a Resident Athletic Trainer at Maryland from July 2014 – June 2015. He worked directly with the Terrapins’ football program during their first season in the BIG10 in 2014.
Ostrander graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training/sports medicine before going on to earn his master’s degree in sports administration from Mississippi State in 2017.
The New York native is a Graston M1 and SASTM Certified Athletic Trainer.
He currently resides in New Windsor, N.Y.
