Baseball Releases 2026 Schedule
December 09, 2025 | Baseball
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point baseball head coach Chris Tracz has announced the 2026 schedule.
The Black Knights are scheduled to play 49 regular season games, including 22 at Doubleday Field. Army will play seven games against academy rivals, have its home opener March 3, and compete in 26 league contests as the Patriot League debuts a new baseball schedule format.
Army's season commences February 13 with opening day at Clemson's Doug Kingsmore Stadium, as part of a season-opening three-game series at the ACC foe February 13-15.
The Black Knights return to the Palmetto State February 20-22, opening the weekend with a date at South Carolina. One day later, Army will see Air Force at South Carolina's Founders Park, before driving down I-26 to face The Citadel on February 22 in Charleston.
Tracz's club will make its third trip to the Carolinas in the season's third weekend, with a three-game set slated at Queens February 27 to March 1.
Army's first game at Doubleday Field is set for March 3 vs. Saint Peter's, before the squad heads south once more for a three-game series at VCU March 6-8.
The Black Knights' final tuneup before league play comes March 10-11 at home vs. Merrimack, leading into a rematch of last year's Patriot League Championship March 13-15 vs. Holy Cross.
2026 features the Patriot League's updated baseball scheduling matrix, with each team playing each other team either six times (two three-game series) or four times (one four-game series). This 26-game, unbalanced slate replaces the previous balanced, 25-game league schedule used in previous years, eliminates the annual midweek league game, and avoids multiple scheduled doubleheaders in the same weekend.
Army is set to face UAlbany on March 17 and UMass on March 18–both at home–before going back on the road for a three-game series at Lafayette March 21-22.
The Star Series presented by USAA will be renewed March 27-29, with a three-game home series against rival Navy. Afterwards, the Black Knights remain home for a midweek affair against in-state foe Cornell March 31.
Army heads east to face Holy Cross for a three-game series April 4-5 and then returns to New England for a midweek game at Fairfield April 7. A trip back to the Lehigh Valley follows April 10-12 for a four-game set at Lehigh.
After the Black Knights return home for a midweek test vs. Wagner April 14, they host Bucknell for a four-game series April 17-19, and then welcome Marist for an intra-Hudson Valley bout April 21. Army hosts Lafayette for three games April 25-26 before wrapping up its home regular season slate vs. LIU April 28.
A trip to rival Navy wraps up the 2026 regular season, with a three-game series in Annapolis May 2-3.
The top four teams in the six-team Patriot League will advance to the Patriot League Semifinal Series, hosted by the higher seed on each side of the bracket on May 9-10. The two winners of the best-of-three series will then meet for the Patriot League Championship Series, tentatively scheduled for May 16-18 at the higher seed, for an automatic berth at the NCAA Baseball Regionals.
Tracz returns for his fourth season at the helm in 2026, carrying a 94-66 overall record and two conference titles across his Army tenure into the spring.
Four .300-plus hitters from 2025 are back this season, including team captains Chris Barr and William Parker. Additionally, Andrew Berg—who led Army's starting rotation with a 3.91 ERA and 5-3 record—will feature on the 2026 squad.
