WEST POINT, N.Y. — Phil Steele, a renowned college football publication, recently released its 2026 Preseason American Conference All-Conference Team. Army placed 10 players on the list, which spans first through fourth teams.
Army's selections are as follows:
1st Team
Brady Small
Jack Bousum
2nd Team
Parker Poloskey
Kody Harris-Miller
Jaydan Mayes
James Wagenseller
Owen Walter
3rd Team
Godspower Nwawuihe
Paolo Gennarelli
4th Team
Cale Hellums
Brady Small has been a mainstay of the Army offensive front, starting all 39 games of his career at center since his freshman year. He was a first-team American Conference selection in both 2024 and 2025, while helping aid Bryson Daily's FBS record-breaking 32 quarterback rushing touchdowns in a single season in a historic 2024.
Jack Bousum emerged as a sophomore in 2025, playing in all 13 games and tying for the team lead with 4.5 sacks and 8.0 tackles for loss. He notably made his mark by recording 1.5 sacks against Navy.
Parker Poloskey broke out during his junior season, starting in all 13 games. He made his defining mark in a road win at UTSA, where he caught a 14-yard pass on fourth-and-four to keep Army's final drive alive, and capped the possession with a four-yard, game-winning touchdown reception.
Kody Harris-Miller started in seven games and recorded 15 total tackles. In 2024, he played in 11 games (starting in 10) while logging 29 tackles (17 solo), five tackles for loss, and two sacks.
Jaydan Mayes started all 13 games in 2025, recording 35 total tackles (including 20 solo tackles) and one tackle for loss. He also intercepted a pass at UTSA, returning the takeaway for an explosive 73-yard touchdown.
James Wagenseller served as the starting punter in 2025, recording a 43.12-yard average across 32 total punts. He pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 13 times, boomed three punts of at least 50 yards, and registered two touchbacks.
Owen Walter served as the team's long snapper and played in all 13 games. He also contributed on special teams, collecting a tackle at UAB (10/4) and making two total tackles (one solo) at UTSA (11/29).
Godspower Nwawuihe emerged during the Fenway Bowl of his freshman year after starting the year at quarterback. He was named the Offensive MVP of the Wasabi Fenway Bowl after rushing for 171 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, which included explosive scoring runs of 43 and 70 yards. Nwawuihe became the first Army freshman to record a 100-yard rushing game with two rushing touchdowns since at least 1995.
Paolo Gennarelli started in 11 games on the offensive front, helping block for 3,485 rushing yards on the season. He was part of an offensive line unit that allowed just seven sacks all year, a metric that ranked best in all of the FBS.
Cale Hellums played in all 13 games and made 10 starts in 2025. He racked up 1,223 rushing yards on the season, becoming just the eighth rusher in Army history to reach that milestone. He also recorded 18 rushing touchdowns, marking the second-most rushing scores in a single season in program history—trailing only Bryson Daily's program record of 32 set in 2024.
