No. 13/14 Women’s Lacrosse Takes Home Four Patriot League Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point women's lacrosse seniors Brigid Duffy, Sarah Chernik, Allison Reilly and Lindsey Serafine all took home Patriot League weekly honors for their respective positions as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Duffy was named the Midfielder of the Week, Chernik the Defensive Player of the Week, Reilly the Attacker of the Week and Serafine the Goalkeeper of the Week. The Black Knights as a team earned two wins this past week, including a win over then No.5/7 Yale.
Duffy appeared and started in the Black Knights in their two wins this past week. She was a crucial component to the Black Knights earning their second highest ranked win in program history over No.5 Yale and second ranked victory of the season. Additionally, the Black Knights secured their seventh consecutive victory and fifth straight in conference play remaining the only undefeated team in conference play. She finished with 9G, 6A, 15P, 21S, 11SOG, 5GB, 4CT, 9DC and has now recorded at least four goals in nine of the Black Knights games, as well as averaging 5.60/goals per conference game. Her eight points against American were most by a midfielder in a singular game across the Patriot League this week. She was a crucial component in the Black Knights Patriot League victory on both sides of the ball earning four caused turnovers and helping limit both Yale to their lowest goal total of the season and American to their second lowest. Additionally, she was important for the Black Knights who finished a perfect a 23 for 23 clears, a new team high, against American. On top of this she was also named a Nike Lacrosse Midseason First Team All-American this past week.
Chernik appeared and started in the Black Knights in their two wins this past week. She was a crucial component to the Black Knights earning their second highest ranked win in program history over No.5 Yale and second ranked victory of the season. Additionally, she was important for the Black Knights who finished a perfect a 23 for 23 clears, a new team high, against American. In the draw circle she helped Army to an 18 to 8 advantage in the draw controls against American and a 13 to 9 advantage against No. 5 Yale. On top of this, her two goals against American were a new career high for goals in a game.
Reilly appeared and started in the Black Knights in their two wins this past week. She finished with the week with 5G, 8A, 13P, 17S, 10SOG, 4DC, 4CT. She broke the single season assist record against Yale with her three assists on the game. Reilly currently ranks second in the NCAA in assists per game and third in totals assists. On top of this she was also named a Nike Lacrosse Midseason First Team All-American this past week. Her eight points against American were the most in the Patriot League by an attacker this week. She was a crucial component in the Black Knights Patriot League victory on both sides of the ball earning four caused turnovers and helping limit both Yale to their lowest goal total of the season and American to their second lowest. Additionally, she was important for the Black Knights who finished a perfect a 23 for 23 clears, a new team high, against American.
Serafine appeared and started for the Black Knights in between the pipes in both victories this past week to finish with a 2-0 record. She collected a 6.34 GAA across the two games this past week and a .538 SV% with 14 saves. She was a crucial component in the Black Knights Patriot League victory helping limit both Yale to their lowest goal total of the season and American to their second lowest. Additionally, she was important for the Black Knights who finished a perfect a 23 for 23 clears, a new team high, against American.
