How It Happened
- Army seized control from the opening whistle, winning the first draw behind defender Sarah Chernik, who went on to record 12 draw controls, a new career high. That early possession set up Brigid Duffy's first goal just 42 seconds into the game, sparking a dominant opening stretch in which Army dictated tempo and kept Bucknell pinned in its defensive end.
- After another draw win by Chernik, Duffy struck again at 8:16, finishing a feed from Lily Valentini. Army's pressure continued to force failed clears and turnovers, and Duffy completed her first-quarter hat trick at 4:43 off an assist from Allison Reilly, pushing the lead to 3–0.
- Bucknell finally broke through late in the first when Regan Sansiviero converted a free-position shot at 1:46, trimming the deficit to 3–1, but Army still carried full control into the break thanks to Chernik's dominance at the circle and the Black Knights' defensive pressure.
- Early in the second quarter, Army again capitalized on a Bucknell penalty. With the Bison down a player, Duffy scored her fourth goal at 11:14, a man-up finish that restored a three-goal cushion. Bucknell answered with an unassisted strike from Caroline Sheridan at 9:42, but Army responded quickly when Reilly scored off a feed from Thais Jackson less than a minute later.
- Bucknell stayed within reach when Caleigh Cummiskey scored at 5:57, finishing a pass from Alex Macutek to make it 5–3. But Army punished another Bucknell penalty when Geneva Milch Cesoni scored a man-up goal at 2:59, assisted by Reilly, to push the lead back to three.
- In the final seconds of the half, Bucknell grabbed momentum when Sansiviero scored her second of the day with 11 seconds left, another man-up tally created by Cummiskey's assist. That late goal cut Army's lead to 6–4 at halftime.
- Army opened the third quarter with sustained pressure, and after several early saves by Bucknell's Bella Crowley, Chloe Garrett scored unassisted at 11:24 to extend the lead to 7–4. Army kept rolling as Duffy added her fifth goal at 7:04, and Ryan Remaly scored at 6:05 off a feed from Sarah Wood, stretching the margin to 9–4.
- Bucknell briefly halted the run when Megan Krestinski scored at 4:26, assisted by Cummiskey, but Army still held a comfortable 9–5 lead entering the fourth.
- The fourth quarter belonged entirely to Army. Duffy opened the period with her sixth goal at 14:00, a solo effort that ignited a decisive offensive surge. Less than a minute later, Valentini scored off a Duffy assist, and Army piled on with back-to-back goals from Reilly with one assisted by Garrett and one unassisted that opened the game up at 13–5.
- Army continued to pour it on as Milch Cesoni scored her second goal at 11:32, again assisted by Reilly, who finished with four assists. Bucknell briefly answered when Cummiskey completed her hat trick at 9:38, but Army responded immediately with Paige Moretti's goal at 8:47, assisted by Reilly.
- Bucknell added one final man-up goal from Cummiskey at 8:16, but Army closed the game with Emma Ciocon's unassisted strike in the final minute, sealing a dominant 16–7 victory.
