Duffy Named IWLCA D1 Offensive Player of the Week

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Army West Point women's lacrosse senior Brigid Duffy was named the IWLCA Division 1 Offensive Player of the Week as named by the organization on Tuesday afternoon. The weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by players in Division I, II, III and the NAIA each week during the regular season.
Duffy appeared and started in the Black Knights victory this past week, over #16/17 Loyola Maryland. She played a crucial role in helping Army make history breaking the Greyhounds 94-0 undefeated record in regular season Patriot League play. The midfielder finished the week with six goals, one assist and seven points, as well she scored six goals on seven shots with all seven shots on net. Her scored six goals were the most in a game across the Patriot League this week and led all scorers in goals against #16/17 Loyola Md. Additionally, she recorded 300th career point becoming one of nine active players in NCAA lacrosse to earn that milestone and the first in program history to achieve the feat.
