SPARKS, Md. – Army West Point Women's Lacrosse senior Brigid Duffy has been named to the U.S. Women's National Team as announced by USA Lacrosse on Thursday Jan. 15. Duffy is the first Black Knight to make the National Field Team.
The Queensbury, N.Y., native will represent the United States of America this upcoming summer at the 2026 U.S. Women's World Lacrosse Championships, which are set to be held from July 24- August 2 in Tokyo, Japan.
Duffy will be one of nine current collegiate players on the roster and the only player from the Patriot League. The two-sport athlete finished out her junior season at Army with a USA Lacrosse First Team All-American selection and was a first team All-Patriot League Selection, as well as earning a Top 25 Finalist spot for the Tewaaraton Award. This fall on the pitch for the women's soccer team, she led the country in game-winning goals as well as earning the 2025 Patriot League Tournament Championship and was the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year.
