Duffy Named an IWLCA Second Team All-American

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point women's lacrosse junior Brigid Duffy was named to the IWLCA All-American Second Team as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Associate (IWLCA) on Thursday afternoon.
This is the second IWLCA award for Duffy this season after being named to the IWLCA Northeast Region First Team, last week.
For Duffy, this is the third first in program history for her this post season. The Queensbury, N.Y., native is the first Black Knight in program history to be named an IWLCA All-American.

Duffy finished her junior campaign, leading all Army scorers with 64 goals, a new program single-season goal record. The Queensbury, N.Y. native is first in program history in goals (182) and points (262). For Duffy, this is the first IWLCA All-American selection of her career. Last week, the junior earned her third consecutive IWLCA All-Region Selection after being named to the second team twice in her first two seasons at Army. Duffy finished second in the Patriot League in goals per game (3.76), caused turnovers (32) and ground balls per game (2.76) while being third in points per game (5.06), plus fifth in draw controls per game. Duffy was named first-team All-Patriot League, an Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American, a first-team US Lacrosse All-American, and a Top-25 finalist for the Tewaaraton Award. She made history for the Black Knights as the first ever First-Team IWLCA All-Region selection, first Nike Lacrosse Media All-America second team selection and first IWLCA All-American selection in program history.
