Golf Wraps Up Second Round at Schenkel Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Army West Point golf team wrapped up the second round of the 45th Schenkel Invitational and sit in 13th heading into the final round at Forest Heights Country Club.

The Black Knights finished the second day with a team score of 300 (+12) to give them a two-day total of 602 (+26). Georgia Southern continues to lead the team field at 12-under with Florida and Utah only one shot back. Florida's Luke Poulter remained the leader throughout the second round with a 3-under 69 and heads into the final round up three strokes.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Dragon Theam continued to be Army's best golfer as he carded an even par 72 on Saturday and he currently is in a tie for 30th on the leaderboard at 2-over for the tournament.
• Theam had five birdies and was 1-under on the front nine.
• John Heckel Jr. recorded a 2-over 74 on Saturday and had six birdies during his round.

Army is back for the final round on Sunday morning and will tee off around 9:42 a.m. at Forest Heights.
