Mac Gadowsky & Ben Ivey Earn Weekly Atlantic Hockey Honors

BOSTON - Army West Point sophomore defenseman Mac Gadowsky and freshman forward Ben Ivey each received weekly recognition from Atlantic Hockey America after helping the Black Knights to an AHA Quarterfinal series victory over Niagara, announced today by the league.
Gadowsky was named the conference's defenseman of the week while Ivey tabbed forward of the week honors. The duo propelled Army to a 3-2 double overtime victory in game one of the series before a 4-3 triumph in overtime in game three.
Gadowsky scored three times across the three games, including the overtime game-winner in game one. He added two goals in game two before providing a primary assist to Ivey in game three. He totaled five points in the series with 20 shots on goal and three blocked shots. The win marks the fifth of the season for Gadowsky in the category.
Ivey logged a goal in all three games for the Black Knights, totaling five points on the series. He netted a game-tying goal in the series opener before tabbing another late tally in game two. Ivey dished out a pair of assists in the decisive game after scoring a goal in the second period, winning the faceoff that led to Easton Zueger's goal and dishing out the series-winning primary assist to Barron Woodring in overtime. The win marks the first of the career for Ivey.
Army will travel to Holy Cross for the Atlantic Hockey America semifinals with a best-of-three set for March 14-16.
