Niagara returned Tomas Anderson to the ice following his performance on Friday where he recorded 20 saves on Army's 21 shots on goal.
The Purple Eagles sought to repeat their aggressive start to Friday's game on Saturday but to nine shot advantage for the home team, the game remained scoreless throughout the first period with a series of stellar defensive performances from Biron and the Black Knights' defense.
Niagara struck first once more midway through the second period, opening up a quick 2-0 advantage with a pair of goals in under a minute – the first of which hit the scoresheet 13 minutes into the period.
The Black Knights fought to change the story from Friday's game, cutting Niagara's lead down to one with 33 seconds left on the clock.
Owen Nolan carried a pass from Barron Woodring up the ice to the edge of the crease and snuck it through the five-hole beneath Anderson to bring the game to a 2-1 mark.
The two teams squared off for the third period looking to take control of the game's momentum and Niagara seized control with a power play goal eight minutes into the period to extend their lead back to two goals.
The Purple Eagles added a fourth goal to their tally on an empty-net opportunity with just over a minute left on the clock to open their lead to a 4-1 gap.
