February 20, 2025 | Baseball
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Army West Point Baseball once again migrates south this weekend for a three-game series against the Wofford Terriers.Â
Â
But cold weather will still factor into the weekend series, slated for February 21-23. Friday's series-opener has been moved up to a 4:05 p.m. start due to forecasted low temperatures. Saturday and Sunday's games are still slated for 3:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Â
Sunday's game will be streamed on ESPN+. Live Stats will be available for each game.Â
Â
Notes and Storylines
Â
» On February 14, Army won its fourth consecutive season-opening game and moved to 6-1 since 2019 in its first game of the season, with a 6-1 win over the North Alabama Lions.Â
Â
» Army heads to the State of South Carolina for the first time since 2022, when they participated in the season-opening Swig & Swine College Classic at Charleston's Shipyard Park. The Black Knights last played Wofford in 2007, when the Terriers won two of three games.
Â
» Justin Lehman picked up right where he left off after the 2024 season, turning in six innings February 14 against North Alabama, striking out seven batters on his way to a winning decision. The senior did so after limiting a bases-loaded, no out jam in the first inning to just one run.
Â
Lehman was named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week Monday. Also a position player who features at first base, Lehman takes a 28-game on-base streak into the weekend, dating back to last season.
