WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point wrestling is back at home vs. Wisconsin to open its 2025-26 home dual schedule.Â
Â
The Black Knights take on the Badgers at Christl Arena Saturday, with the opening bout commencing at 7:00 p.m. Tickets remain on sale for the dual with a stream available on FloWrestling.Â
Â
Army slotted at No. 24 in the most up-to-date NWCA team dual rankings this week, with Wisconsin coming just three slots behind at No. 27.
Â
Last time out, the Black Knight competed in the Black Knight Invite, the second of back-to-back tournaments at Christl Arena. Braden Basile won the 141 lb tournament title and was one of 15 Black Knight athletes to place.
Â
Basile's 141 lb title bout came against top-seeded Aaron Nagao of Penn State. While the Nittany Lion pulled ahead 3-0 early in the match, an injury suffered early in the second period forced Nagao to withdraw, handing the title to Basile by default.Â
Â
Basile had previously won three matches to earn a spot in the finals, including an 11-3 major decision over Cael Nasdeo—also of Penn State—in the semifinals. Not counting pool competitions at the Journeyman Collegiate Classic November 9, Army wrestlers have now combined for nine tournament titles to date this year.Â
Â
PSU came away with the team title Sunday, with 197 total points. Army finished third with 117.5 points, just one point behind second place Columbia.
Â
Army is 0-1 in duals this year, after falling at Nebraska November 7.Â
