Ryan Curry Named Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Junior guard Ryan Curry earned Army West Point men's basketball's first Patriot League weekly honor of the 2025-26 season on Monday, being named this week's Patriot League Player of the Week.
Curry earned the honor after leading Army to a 95-85 overtime win over Binghamton University on Dec. 23, Army's first win over the Bearcats since Nov. 28, 2018. The win also gave Army its third straight victory, marking its fifth win in the last six games.
The junior guard has a dominant all-around performance in the final game of non-conference play for the Black Knights. He neared a triple-double, finishing the game with 23 points, a career-high nine rebounds and seven assists.
Curry also hit those numbers while shooting 55.5 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from behind the arc.
To end non-conference play, Curry leads Army in scoring averaging 13.7 points a game and assists, averaging 5.0 assists a game. With those numbers, Curry is ninth in the Patriot League in scoring and second in the league in assists a game.
Up next, Army starts Patriot League play on New Year's Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 31, heading to Bethlehem to take on the Lehigh Mountain Hawks. The game is set for a 12 p.m. ET first tip inside Stabler Arena, with the game streaming live in ESPN+.
