Men’s Soccer Set for Army-Navy Cup XIV

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team travels to Chester, Pa., on Friday night for the 14thedition of the Army-Navy Cup at Subaru Park for a crucial Star Match, which is part of the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA.
Army (3-4-4) is looking to get back on track after a tough 1-0 road loss to Bucknell last time out. Navy (3-5-4) is still looking for its first Patriot League win of the season.

He tied his career-high of eight saves on Saturday against Bucknell.

Last season, Army scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute to record a thrilling 2-1 win at Subaru Park in front of 10,134 fans, the most for an NCAA Division I men's soccer game in 2024.
Ronald Zhai finished an Owen Ennis corner kick in the 7th minute to open the scoring. The Black Knights outshot Navy 19-11 and 11-3 in the second half. Army also posted a 10-6 shot on goal edge.
With the win, head coach Brian Plotkin moved to 2-1-1 against Navy in his tenure as the Army West Point head coach, and 4-1-1 against the Academies (2-0-0 vs. Air Force). Plotkin's lone loss against an Academy school came against Navy in his first season as head coach.
