Army Offensive Line Named to 2025 Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll
October 15, 2025 | Football
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point offensive line has been recognized among the nation's best, earning a spot on the 2025 Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll, as announced Wednesday evening by The Foundation for Teamwork.
Army is the defending winner of the Joe Moore Award, capturing the honor in 2024 for the first time in program history. The achievement was historic, marking the first time a unit from a military academy or a Group of Five program earned the prestigious national award.
This season, the Black Knights have built on that legacy behind a retooled offensive front that returned two starters from last year's award-winning group—center Brady Small and right guard Paolo Gennarelli—while introducing left tackle Henry Appleton, left guard Will Jeffcoat, and right tackle Teddy Williams into starting roles.
Together, they have anchored an offense that ranks second in the nation with 282.7 rushing yards per game, continuing Army's trademark dominance on the ground.
The Joe Moore Award annually honors the most outstanding offensive line unit in college football, celebrating toughness, teamwork, and physical dominance—the same traits that define the Army football program.
This year's Midseason Honor Roll features 24 offensive line units from across the country that have demonstrated exceptional play through the first half of the season. For the first time, the midseason list was unveiled live during a special episode of "Trench Life" on the Joe Moore Award's YouTube channel.
The 2025 Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll includes:
Air Force, Army, Alabama, Cincinnati, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, Memphis, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Navy, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Southern California, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Tulane, Utah, Vanderbilt, and Washington.
The semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award will be announced on Nov. 5.
About the Joe Moore Award
The Joe Moore Award is named after Joe Moore, widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in college football history, most notably for his work at Notre Dame and the University of Pittsburgh. Coach Moore sent 52 players on to the NFL, including Bill Fralic, Mark May, Russ Grimm, Jimbo Covert, Andy Heck and others. The Joe Moore Award trophy, crafted by legendary sports sculptor Jerry McKenna, is the largest trophy in college football, standing at a height of seven feet and weighing in at more than 800 pounds. The perpetual trophy is made available for display by the winning university until the conclusion of the following college football season.
