Gymnastics Places Second in Tri-Meet Against Springfield and Michigan

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.– The Army West Point Men's Gymnastics team placed second in their dual meet against Springfield and Michigan. The Black Knights posted a team score of 307.050, finishing behind Michigan, who led the meet with 318.050, and ahead of host Springfield, who recorded a 299.550.
Maddox Pabellon continued his dominance on the pommel horse, taking first place with a score of 14.000. Teammate Noah Duran tied for third in the event with a 13.200, while Jake Prabhakaran and Ben Aguilar also contributed strong performances, placing sixth and ninth with scores of 12.750 and 12.250, respectively. Nick Lester was a standout on vault, securing second place with a 13.800. Pabellon tied for sixth in the same event, scoring 13.500, while Jaden Blank tied for eighth with a 13.400.
On the floor exercise, Jojo Buselmier led the Black Knights with a fifth-place finish, scoring 13.100. Cash Johnston (12.650), Gabe Almeida (12.550), and Ben Aguilar (12.350) also delivered solid routines, placing eighth, ninth, and 11th, respectively. Conor Heary had a strong showing on the still rings, finishing sixth with a 13.000. Buselmier (12.800), Almeida (12.650), and Duran (12.600) rounded out the top ten in the event.
The Black Knights saw additional success on parallel bars, with Conor Heary finishing third (13.200), Duran placing fifth (12.900), Cash Johnston taking seventh (12.700), and Jacob Brenner securing eighth (12.400). On high bar, Johnston (12.600), Tyson Phelps (12.500), and Prabhakaran (12.350) finished fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively, while Blank placed 11th with a score of 11.000.
The Black Knights return to action on Saturday, February 1, when they host Navy in the Star Series matchup presented by USAA.
