Gymnastics Falls to Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Army West Point Men's Gymnastics team (0-1) fell to Penn State (1-0) in their season opener, with a final score of 316.900 to 306.500.
The Black Knights excelled on floor exercise, claiming the top three scores of the event. Jojo Buselmeier led the way with a 13.450. Gabe Almeida (North Kingstown, R.I./Cumberland (MEGA)) followed closely with a 13.300, and Ben Aguilar rounded out the trio with a 13.250. Cash Johnston (Houston, Texas/Stake Jesuit College Prep (HGA)) also delivered a solid performance, finishing fifth with a score of 13.100.
Maddox Pabellon (Houston, Texas/Logos Preparatory Academy (Houston Gym Center)) shone on the pommel horse, earning the highest score of the event with a 14.000. Noah Duran (13.200), Jake Prabhakaran (Tampa, Fla./Jesuit Tampa (EVO)) (13.050), and Ben Aguilar (12.100) also contributed strong performances on the apparatus.
On the still rings, Noah Duran led the Black Knights with a fourth-place finish and a score of 13.050.
Nick Lester was the standout for Army on vault, securing third place with a 13.800.
Penn State dominated the parallel bars, claiming the top five spots. Cash Johnston was Army's highest scorer in the event with a 12.000.
