ST. PAUL, Minn. – Army West Point women's soccer fell to 5-2-0 on Thursday night, snapping a five game winning streak against Minnesota (5-0-0) by a score of 3-0 in the Black Knights first road game of the young season.
The first half saw Minnesota on the front foot the entire time, the Golden Golphers finished the half with 13 shots, five of which were on frame.
Sage Strohman made four saves in the first 45, only allowing a goal in the ninth minute when the Minnesota forward weaved her way into the 18 yard box.
The Black Knights did a good job on defense limiting the Golden Gopher attack despite plating the majority of the half on their end of the field.

Despite the three goals, Army's goalkeeping was impressive with Strohman making nine saves on the night, her second most this season. Jordan Hecht was able to make her collegiate debut in her home state, coming in for Strohman in the 77th minute.
Hecht made the first two saves of her young career, including an impressive highlight reel save leaping to her right.
