Conti, Strohman Lift Women's Soccer Past Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Army West Point women's soccer picked up a massive 1-0 win over Bucknell on the road on Saturday afternoon.
Army now moves to a perfect 8-0-0 when they score a goal. The win also marks the 22nd clean sheet of Sage Strohman's career.
Bucknell managed to create a lot of pressure early on but the Army backline withstood and managed to keep the Bison off the board in the first 45. Strohman made four of her five saves in the first half.
The second half is when the Black Knights got to work. Star freshman Bella Conti netted her four goal of the season with a beauty from the top of the box into the top right corner of the net to put the Black Knights up 1-0 in the 48th minute.
The Black Knights were able to maintain pressure throughout the final half despite not managing another goal. Strohman would only be called into action one more time, making a save in the 68th minute.
Army now moves to 8-3-0 and 2-1-0 in Patriot League play. They get a week of rest now, not playing until Oct. 5 against Lehigh at Malek Stadium for senior day.
