Women's Soccer Earns Second Consecutive Shutout Win, 1-0 Over Lehigh

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's soccer team earned a 1-0 senior day win over Lehigh on Saturday afternoon at Malek Stadium.
The Black Knights kept the pressure on the Mountain Hawks early and often using a high press that frustrated Lehigh.
Army got its breakthrough in the 11th minute when Brigid Duffy sent a ball into the box that found the foot of Grace Edvalds who slotted it home for her second career goal.
The goal would be all the Black Knights would need with Sage Strohman in net. She moved to third all time with her 23rd career clean sheet.
Army's offense was firing on all cylinders, but the Lehigh goalkeeper was solid in net making seven saves.
With the win, Army moves into first place in the Patriot League sitting a 3-1 in league play and 9-3 overall.
Next up for the Black Knights is a road trip to Loyola on Oct. 11 to take on the Greyhounds.
