Men’s Soccer Concedes Twice in Second Half to Fall at Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Army West Point Men's Soccer allowed two corner kick goals in the second half Sunday evening to fall 2-1 to the Penn State Nittany Lions.
In spite of a first half tally from plebe attacker Ronald Zhai, the Black Knights give up goals in the 48' and 82' to fall to 0-1-1 on the season.
Zhai opened the scoring in the 16', taking a ball from fellow freshman Kai Thomas on the break and finishing from inside the 18-yard box.
Army outshot the home side 8-5 in the opening stanza, but got outshot 6-2 in the second half.

10: Army tallied 10 total shots at Jeffery Field.
2: Goalkeeper Blair Camargo logged a pair of saves.
2: Thomas, Ryan Behrmann and Gage Lyons each fired off two total shots.

Army will travel to service academy rival Air Force for a matchup in Colorado Springs Thursday. After that, it's back home for the season-opening homestand against Sacred Heart September 2 and Marist September 5.
