WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Lee Anderson Men's Basketball Head Coach Kevin Kuwik announced three additions to the coaching staff, Andy Fox, Bryan Joel, and Damani Myers.
"I could not be more excited to add Andy, Damani, and Bryan to our staff," Kuwik said. "They bring a diverse set of skills and experiences and will join Nick and JD to provide our players with outstanding teaching and support. I could not be more excited for Team 123 and the 2024-25 season."
Andy Fox joins the staff from Vanderbilt where he served as the associate head coach for two seasons and five seasons on the staff overall.
"Andy has done every job at every level, culminating as an associate head coach in the Southeastern Conference. His recruiting experience at The Citadel and Vanderbilt will strongly translate to identifying the high-quality young men we are looking to bring into our program. He is outstanding on the court with our guys and will add a great perspective to our entire operation on and off the court," said Kuwik.
Before Vanderbilt, Fox spent time at Louisiana Tech, Tulane, The Citadel, and Tennessee.
Bryan Joel makes his way to the Banks of the Hudson after nine seasons with UChicago. While there he served as interim head coach for 16 games during the 2022-23 season. In 2019 he was named to the NABC Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team representing 30 of the most outstanding men's college basketball coaches under the age of 30.
"Bryan comes to us highly recommended after an outstanding tenure at the University of Chicago," Kuwik added. "Again, he has done every aspect of this job at some point in his career, including serving an extended stint as acting head coach, and his national recruiting background in targeting high academic and high character student-athletes will be an excellent fit for us."
Damani Myers comes to West Point after a stint at Williams College under former Army assistant Kevin App. Before Williams, he had stops at Saint Peters and Binghamton. He played for Lycoming College and Delaware Valley University.
Coach Kuwik said, "Damani is a hungry, up-and-coming young coach who most recently worked for former Army assistant Kevin App at Williams. Again, at Williams, he recruited and coached student-athletes of similar caliber as we have here at West Point. His energy and enthusiasm will be a great asset to our program."
