Volleyball Unveils 2024 Schedule

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point volleyball team and head coach Alma Kovaci Lee have announced the Black Knights' 2024 season schedule Thursday morning.
The team's 2024 26-match slate includes an exhibition match, 11 total home matches, a six-match road stand, and a three-match homestand to wrap up the regular season before the 2024 Patriot League Tournament begins on November 19th.
The Black Knights will seek to secure their sixth Patriot League Tournament title this season after falling in the semifinal round of the 2023 league tournament.
Coach Kovaci Lee has brought Army to a 315-166 record over the past 17 seasons, including eight seasons in which the team has earned at least 20 wins, and looks to increase that tally as she enters her 18th season as the Black Knights' head coach.
The seven-time Patriot League Regular Season Champions will also look to add to their Regular Season Champion tally as the Black Knights earned a 14-12 record last season with an 11-5 mark in league play, a mark that earned the team the No. 2 seed in the 2023 Patriot League Tournament.
Army will get things started with an exhibition match at Marist on August 24th before heading to Buffalo, N.Y. for the Buffalo Invite over Aug. 30th-Sept. 1st where the Black Knights will take on Hampton, Oakland, and Buffalo in the three-day tournament.
The Black Knights then travel to Saint Louis, Mo. where they will compete in the Saint Louis Invitational over Sept. 5-7th with matches against Saint Louis, Illinois State, and Xavier.
The team then returns home for the Black Knight Invitational where they will host Hofstra, Bryant, and Sacred Heart over Sept. 13-15th before heading back out on the road to begin conference play with matches at Lehigh (Sept. 20) and Bucknell (Sept. 21).
Army returns home for their conference home opener against Navy on Sept. 27th as the Star Match kicks off a four-match homestand for the squad. Loyola will make the trip to West Point and the Gillis Field House on Sept. 28th with the Black Knights then hosting Holy Cross (Oct. 5) and Colgate (Oct. 6) to kick off October play.
The Black Knights then take a trip South for the weekend to take on Lafayette (Oct. 11) and American (Oct. 12) before returning home to face off with American once more on October 19th.
Another road stretch brings the squad into November with their matches against Loyola (Oct. 25) and Navy (Oct. 26) in Baltimore and Annapolis followed by matches at Colgate (Nov. 1) and Holy Cross (Nov. 2) as the regular season draws to a close.
A three-match homestand wraps up the Black Knights' regular season as the squad welcomes Lehigh (Nov. 8), Bucknell (Nov. 9), and Lafayette (Nov. 16) to Gillis Field House for their final three matches of the season.
Army's match against Lafayette will stand as the team's Senior Night match – currently set to begin at 4:00pm ET.
The Patriot League Tournament will take place over November 19th-24th with the Quarterfinals on Nov. 19th, the Semifinals on Nov. 22nd, and the Championship match on Nov. 24th.
