Five Football Players Land on Phil Steele’s AAC Preseason All-Conference Team

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Phil Steele, a renowned college football publication recently released its Preseason American Athletic Football 2024 All-Conference Team. Army sees five players selected to a list ranging from the second team to the fourth team. Army's representatives were the following:
Second-Team Offense
OL Brady Small
Second-Team Defense
S Max DiDomenico
Third-Team Offense
OL Lucas Scott
Third-Team Defense
LB Kalib Fortner
Fourth-Team Offense
RB Kanye Udoh
Small, a rising sophomore from Mt. Ephraim, N.J. started all 12 games a season ago as a freshman at center, anchoring the offensive line.
DiDomenico, selected as a team captain, totaled 52 tackles and two interceptions a season ago, one coming as a pivotal play in the Army-Navy Game.
Udoh, a native of Mays Landing, N.J. played in 10 games as a freshman, starting in five, rushing for 524 yards (second on team) on 99 carries (5.3 avg.) with one touchdown. He was named the ECAC Division I FBS Rookie of the Year.
Fortner emerged last season as a sophomore playing in all 12 games, totaling 68 tackles (30 solo), (third most on the team), 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and forcing fumble that he returned for a touchdown
Scott, from Binghamton, N.Y. transitioned from tight end to offensive line before the start of the 2023 season and became a focal point on the Black Knights offensive line unit. He started in 11 games at guard.
